about

This is very different from what PGM usually does. There are no vocals on these recordings. This is instrumental music: soundscapes and experiments.
We don't want you to pay for something that is not what you are expecting, so we are giving this away for free. If you like it and want to pay something - THANK YOU. If you don't, there is no damage done.

There are two ways in which the sounds on this album are echoes from a distant past:
Firstly they belong to a style created in the 1970's when some people moved away from song-oriented music caring more about sounds and atmosphere. That resulted in musical landscapes, soundscapes, music for imaginary (or real) films or sounds that just became part of the listeners ambience.
Secondly, the pieces on this album date back to what might be called PGM's formative period in the nineties, the time before we embarked on our band project which has since come to fruition in the albums you probably know (otherwise you wouldn't be reading that): from "Summerland" to "Here Now".
in 2005 due to some delay during the recording sessions for the fourth proper PGM album "Spring Tidings" we, the original core of pgm, found the time to dig up some old recordings – music we had almost forgotten but which seemed to deserve to be made more widely available. So we selected a number of tracks, re-recorded what couldn't be used from the original master tapes, added some new instruments, but stayed true to the original atmosphere of the recordings.

We would be more than pleased to find that there are still people like ourselves who can relate to this kind of music, weird as it may sound.
