The Colour of Happiness What is the colour of happiness? What kind of feeling is blue? Why does this place look so different from what I remember of what I once knew? What sound do we hear at the speed of light? Why is there much less space During day than at night? They say the mind can travel time Then why doesn't matter obey the mind? Or is that a question worth but a dime? And are they just two of a kind? When you find beauty first it’s also when it starts to hurt From the corner of your eye you can see it fade away It's a matter of faith When you dare to wish it should stay It’s the colour of happiness This is the colour of happiness

Elsewhere 15:20
Elsewhere When the days are getting dark The sun’s colour in constant change From red to crimson to rust We drift into a dream and turn to dust Feeling elated, not even strange While our eyes are keeping the spark Watching the moon ascending On an orbit that leads her out of reach We’re riding high on the crest of the wave Clinging to the memory we‘re trying to save Far beyond words, far beyond speech A moment that is never ending There is calm in every grain of sand There is heaven reflected by the sea There is the shadow of doubt in bright daylight There is comfort in the still of the night Stop wondering what is inside of me There is redemption in the touch of a hand With an image, a word and a tune We can hold back the flow of the tide All the happy minutes kept in thin air Names and faces lit by a flare Hope and illusion may be denied The time is now, it’s gone so soon Dreams die when realized And turn into cold history What happens to their memory? To hope and the thrill of mystery? What happens to memory? What happens to the thrill of mystery? Dreams die when realised What happens to their memory? When the days are getting dark The sun’s colour in constant change From red to crimson to rust We drift into a dream and turn to dust Feeling elated, not even strange While our eyes are keeping the spark With an image, a word and a tune We can hold back the flow of the tide All the happy minutes kept in thin air Names and faces lit by a flare Hope and illusion may be denied The time is now, it’s gone so soon We live and breathe in thin air There’s no place like elsewhere What is left to feed on? What is left to dwell on? Dreams stored in memory Never here and never gone

The Star 05:36
The Star I’m a star There’s nothing here like me If I can see you That’s only who you were I’m a star Understanding what will be I’m caught in a web That ties me to my lair Born from balancing forces With no apparent sources The space between is curved and bent Into collapse it is sent Divine intervention? A matter of intention? Or particles merrily playing Laughing at your praying? You're always asking why Trying to see some sense But why do you laugh or cry Or dwell in depths or heigths intense You marvel at my sight Use me as your guiding light But I have lost my desperate fight In an ever changing night My skin erodes - My heart explodes While I seem the same to you Dissolving into nothingness Until it all starts anew I’m at the a heart of a nebulous cloud Where matter meets in a weightless crowd Pulling inwards - afraid of loss A fusion of fire - lightyears across If by purpose or built in design I will sparkle, shimmer and shine But into darkness I will fall Lost and forgotten by you all You're always asking why Caught in false pretense Why don’t you take off and fly You’re living at your own expense You marvel at my sight Use me as your guiding light But I have lost my desperate fight In an ever changing night My skin erodes - My heart explodes While I seem the same to you Dissolving into nothingness Until all starts anew So look at me And all that you will see Has long since ceased to be It has long since ceased to be

Take-Off 05:36
Take-off Remember when we heard the songs that were sung Remember when each day led to a different place All the roads were open There was no old or young We felt the drift, we rode the waves We were floating in space How much would I give if life‘s threads were unstrung I could relive these days Feel novelty’s embrace These were the days of endless possibilities These were the days of pushing boundaries A cosmos of opportunity When we were fueled by curiosity An illusion of perpetuity And Heaven’s generosity When you don‘t know that the light you are beginning to see Will soon start to fade so you‘re waiting for the dark When you don‘t know where you‘re going anticipation sets you free And you hope that what you‘re saying will somehow light a spark It wasn‘t easy to let go of the mystery To let childhood fade away into history But we will never be that free again We won‘t ever be that full of hope again Than at the time when life took off And we jumped on, not afraid to fall off

Comfort And Pain Stepping out into the night I can still see your face And it feels as if I’m looking right down into your soul You‘re the sky full of stars and you‘re empty space A glow in the dark of a pitch black hole The moment has passed and I’m rushing through the rain Returning to the comfort, I will live with the pain Can we lead more lives than one? As long as we don‘t try to hold on Options are not realized Will they vanish when we do? Or is longing for surprise Only for the hopeless fool? A promise or a lie or the pursuit of happiness Now every minute, every hour is filled with words and voices Their lonely sounds and echoes carry hope and tenderness We‘re sure of where we stand but question our choices We still know who we are, but doubt always remains. Returning to the comfort, I will live with the pain A different place to go revealed A distant dream that seems so real How could there ever be comfort without pain? Longing for pure pleasure … … what could we hope to gain?

Pages Turning Saying my goodbyes I drop my poor disguise I hurry out of sight Headed for the coming night Full of space and faith and hope That life is unfolding to full scope The ever present voice Fades to a random noise Tender, painful, yet enchanted We took those days for granted Long ago or yesterday? Only memories still show the way The spirit’s fresh it won’t find peace Curiosity will never cease A restless mind won’t be released Threads of dreams weave into a mirage that seems so real and true Pages torn, pages turning Trying hard to keep them from burning The day is old, but the dream’s still strong Always trying to hear my song Pages torn, pages turning Trying hard to keep them from burning The day is old, but I play along Always trying to hear my song

Stargazing 07:10
Stargazing Talk to me again the way you used to. Give me the feeling I exist. And if you do, please don’t let on that there is something I have missed. We’re walking side by side through moonlit meadows. There’s a distant drone we have chosen to ignore. But something in our heads makes us wonder why things aren’t what they were before. No shame, no pain, just a minor irritation of the skin. No clue what to do or how to cope with the mess we’re in. We’re stargazing And hell-raising Give us a dance and a tune and we’ll blow up the moon. We’re sleepwalking And dream-talking It really doesn’t look like we’ll wake up anytime soon. The things you used to tell me seemed to make a lot of sense. All I’m left with now is some kind of fuzzy remembrance. The cord has snapped, leaving nothing in its trail but so much to bewail. We’re walking side by side through a vale of shadows ignorant of what is keeping us alive We’re fiercely bent on our own destruction and yet determined to survive. No shame, no pain, just a minor irritation of the skin. No clue about what to do or how to cope with the mess we’re in. We’re stargazing and hell-raising Give us a dance and a tune and we’ll blow up the moon. We’re sleepwalking and dream-talking It really doesn’t look like we’ll wake up anytime soon.

about

After a couple of singles, instrumentals and re-releases, "Elsewhere" is our first full length album of new material since the acclaimed “Here Now” from 2020.
“Elsewhere” was recorded by a somewhat reduced line-up: we - singer Phil Griffiths, guitarist Stefan Glomb and keyboardist Philipp Jaehne - keep on writing and recording in the gaps between activities of the full band. The result of this are seven songs with the 15-minute title track in their centre. “Elsewhere“ may at first sound a little different, perhaps more accessible than our usual offerings. But you will soon find that all the characteristic elements of PGM-music are there: Phil’s amazing lead vocals, thought provoking lyrics, long atmospheric instrumental passages, in short: music and songs with PGM’s typical understated complexity.
